Hope all is well with all of you! Same ol same ol with me. Trying to take it one day at a time sometimes one minute at a time. Yesterday evening was pretty rough this depression is driving me and everybody around me crazy. Husband thinks I need to go back to the hospital cause of what it's causing me to do so he had me call the hospital they had a bed for me then he changed his mind so I ended up not going. I don't know what I should do i'm so frustrated I don't know which way to turn. He adds to my stress sometimes he can't deal with some of the stuff that comes along with my depression. So who knows what will happen from here I may end up back in the hospital for a couple of weeks we'll see...April

April,

I have reread some of your posts and I feel like you need to take the reins in deciding what is best for you and tell your husband to please back off.  If you feel you need to be hospitalized please do see your physician and discuss this with him.

People generally cannot just make a decision to be hospitalized and call up and reserve a bed.  You must have a physician's medical screening exam and the physician will decided if your condition warrants your being hospitalized.

Something is not clicking into place here. Who is in charge of your medical care.............surely not your husband?

I wish you peace,

Kitt

April,

Sorry to hear that you are feeling bad and discouraged at the moment. Please do not let your husband make such serious decisions for you. It seems as thought he is not taking your feelings and emotions into consideration. If you feel that you need to be hospitalized again then see your doctor and talk this over with him. But you should really think about what is best for you, you are your own woman, as an individual, and at the end of the day only you know what is best for you. I hope that everything works out for you April and please keep us posted.

April, what have you been doing on a daily basis to combat the depression and anxiety? Also, what meds are you taking?
Generalized Anxiety Disorder

60 mg. Prozac, Ativan as needed.

Hi April,

What do you usually do when you are depressed? It seems to me that your husband doesn't understand what you're going through and that he doesn't even have the patience or the willingness to help you with your illness. Doesn't he realize that he made a marital commitment to you that you two would stay together even during the worst of times?

What you need to do is to have a serious talk with your husband about what you're feeling and tell him that you need his full support in order to help you overcome depression. Make him realize that hospitalizing you is not the key for you to really get well. Also, encourage him to know more about depression through books, the Internet and even support groups.

Regards,
