Welcome!

You can also browse through the older threads in this forum and post a reply if any seem to fit what's happening with you. That will extend the thread, and everyone can read your post, not just the person who started the thread. We look forward to getting to know you!

hello all thanks for the responces. well im a 28 year old gay male. i have no children but a lot of nieces and nephews. im the youngest of 4 kids so i guess i have a slight bit of spoiled attitude growing up lol. my mom passed away in my early 20's so i had to get used to that and the whole spoiled thing kinda left. i am a hairdresser and i enjoy working out. i am excited to find a place like this that i can actually talk to someone.

Challengedone,

Treating an anxiety attack with alcohol isn't something I would recommend. Other members have posted about how it makes their anxiety so much worse the next day, so that defeats the purpose. For me, alcohol won't cut it because it can't do anything about the physical symptoms that cause and result from my anxiety.

Welcome, and do continue to share and ask questions.

Hey Challengedone, welcome to the family. I agree with Percy you shouldn't really use alcohol to temporarily fix your anxiety. For me it gives a temporary relief but sometimes if your not careful you will give yourself a hangover and hangovers increase your anxiety. So from personal experience I would definetly say don't rely on alcohol to help your anxiety. Always know that you have someone here to talk to when it gets rough. This forum is the best thing to happen for my anxiety.

ok so not only do i get panic attacks but i think im depressed too. i think that religion and everything that goes on in my life has kinda screwed me up in the head sometimes
i also feel like i have never grown up i feel like i am still a child. i get so upset because i want to be a person that can just talk to people and do not have to put on a face about it and just have a normal conversation but i can never do that. i always put on my mask and make sure that everyone thinks everything is fine. is this normal

I understand your feelings and yes you could very well have depression.  I would like to see you post this in the depression forum as I feel you will get the support and caring re depression best from the members that have this disorder.  I am one of them and would rather post to you in that forum if you don't mind.

I have bother Anxiety and Depression.

Kind Regards,
