This idea just came to me.  We should have frequent anxiety chatroom chats because I think that would really help people (including myself) out a lot.  I like the feeling that I'm not alone.

We did have the regular chatroom visits. I'm not sure if they're still going on. I was only able to attend one and it was nice. The problem is that we have members all over the world and the moderators have been nice enough to try and accomodate all time zones.

I'm sure someone else will come along that knows more about this.

Aries is right on.  We had chats scheduled for 3 months and rarely did anyone show up.  You are always welcome to get together with other members and use the A & P Chat room.  Please do remember the rules and guidelines that apply to the forums apply to the chat rooms and the rooms are monitored.

Take care,

Kitt

That would be nice, more chat room systems on this site, I'd be glad to help... would make me think I'd have some purpose or something...

Paulos, you really need to help yourself, my friend. You seem so lost. You also seem like a nice person. Begin to help yourself with the suggestions on this forum. If you don't take the necessary steps, who knows how long it will be before you are anxiety and depression free?

You can do it. Don't doubt yourself!

Yes, we did used to schedule chat rooms visits but as KITT said not alot of people showed up.  One thing that I frequently do is when I join the forum, I just go into the chat room and I am usually the only one there.  However, once in a while somone else while visiting the forum would check and see if somone was in chat, which I was.  It was then that we could meet and talk about things.

My suggestion is that if you feel like chatting, when you first come into the forum, go into the chat room and check and see if someone is in there, and if they are not go into the chat because at some point someone will come in and join you in chat.  So as soon as you check the forum sign into chat.  When your done reading the forum sign out of chat.  Makes sense to me, that way if you or others want to chat everyone knows your available.

There are usually people on chat in the evenings. Try visiting the chat rooms then.

There was a good chat last night...early this morning with several of the members. Remember to check and see if someone is in the chat room and stop and say hi for a little bit.

Hello.  I was one of the members that was on late last night/early this morning on chat.  There were about 5 of us and we had a great conversation.  Feel free to check out any of the "rooms" at night.  We tend to drift between rooms and are not always in the same place.

Thanks Cass............I know the members of HW are free to use the open rooms whenever and there are always open rooms so if you want to chat, a member can always post a note in ther forum and say they are  in chat room "now".
