Setting myself a goal, oh the fear!

hi all,
I'm setting myself the goal of going out in public and doing a 7km xc bike ride. It's part of the national series but i'm doing the begginers race of 1 circuit, starting with the under 14 and 16 kids. I know i won't be the only one, the sports category will also stat at that time but will do 2 circuits. They'll all be lapping me and i'ii be in the way and some of it's technical and there's hills and people and bends adn potholes and forests and SPECTATORS.......OH GOD.......calm down, breathe, i can do this, yes i can, i hope, i'ii let you know.
 
Any tips gratful, i can't really down xanax before cycling away nono turn

thanks, i think my first aim will be to just turn up, i'ii bring all my gear and sign on. We'll take it from there.

Currently on Asacol, Prilosec, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain, Zofran, Phenergan, Probiotics, Calcium  w/Vit D, and Xanax as needed for my anxiety.  Resections in 2002 and 2005. Also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis, and Anxiety. Currently my Crohns is in remission, but my joints are going crazy!

Thats pretty awesome im guessing you have some troubles with being in public but i think if you take it step by step your going to accomplish your goal and its just going to help you keep getting better :]

Good luck. Remember to stretch a lot and drink lots of water before.

HI Boo,

The fact that you have signed on and intend to do this bike ride is telling me that you want to do it much more than the fear!!

When you really love doing something then that outweighs the worry and fear factor!

Good on you ! You go ahead and enjoy the bike ride !
