I am on vacation & had a panic attack. I was planning on going with my family to watch the Blue Angels perform on another beach. I have Crohns's & I heard that that bathrooms were limited & in a walking distance. I thought I could handle it but when I got into the car to go, it hit me. We had to stop so I could use the bathroom. When I have a panic attack, it goes directly to my colon. I took an anti-diarrhea tablet & 1/4 of a Klonipin but I was still too scared to go on. My husband had to take me back to the condo & take my sons without me. I hate it when this happens. Now I have drugged & dopey feeling & my stomach is upset & missing out of the fun with my family. I hate this disease.

Hello! I'm sorry to hear you missed out on the Blue Angels. But, you can't beat yourself up over this. You will have setbacks. Just remember to pick yourself up and try again. I sure hope your Crohn's Disease leaves you alone for the rest of the vacation!

Winter I am right there with you. I have CD too, and my anxiety tears my gut up. I use Xanax to help in those times. I take the lowest dose and it is enough to quiet my anxiety down without making me loopy. I can't travel without it anymore. My anxiety goes right to my gut everytime. I feel like I am flaring. But thanks to the Xanax and some therapy I have learned to recognize it and stop it in its tracks.

Big hugs,
