I have been on and off anti-depressents for anxiety/panic attacks for over 15 years now.  I just tried a new one and it stopped working after 2 months.  I did not understand why until I read the book 'The Mood Cure' by Julia Ross.  This is the best book I have ever bought.  Not only does it tell you natural supplements to take to ease the withdrawl symptoms, you find out through questionaires what is really wrong with you and it then tells you what to take that is natural to balance out what is wrong with your body chemistry.  This book has literally saved my life!!!!  I will never take another anti-depressent again when there are natural remedies out there that work for me.

Hello Phoebe10

Welcome to HealingWell and the A & P Forum.  We are very glad to have you on board.

I know we have other members that use natural supplements and here in HW we believe that there is a place for both natural as well as prescription rememdies.

It is always good to take a look at what works for others.

I know many people do well on Rx meds and others choose alternative routes.

Thank you so much for sharing with us and I hope you stick with us.

I preferred natural remedies myself but had to end up going the RX route.  Different things work for different people and I hope you get good results.  Please education yourself about herbs and amino acids, the more informed you are the better results you will have.  There are many good books out there, one I really like is "Nutritional Presciptive"  it is written by an MD and his wife who is a certified nutritionalist (Balch is the last name I think).  You can probably get one at a good health/nutirition store.
Good luck and I hope you feel well.
