As many here know, I have been suffering with axiety and PA's for quite a while now.  I once was a sought after public speaker but once I began experiencing my my issues, I discontinued this practice because I didn't want a PA in front of the large audience.  However, after about three years of working with my issues, and learning to confront my fears.  I agreed to be a keynote speaker for a large audience.  The night befoer my speaking engagement I began to experience anxiety and didn't sleep very well.  The next day, as I began my travel to my destination, I began to get more and more anxious.  I really wanted to get through this with out taking any xanax, but I decided I would take a pill and see what happens.
I began my speech, and at first was internally trying to guage and feel all the sensations in my body, but soon all of these fears and sensations aleviated.  I was able to complete my entire speach for about 30 minutes, it was great.  I was so happy, I could once again do this.  I really enjoy speaking, but have been scared, maybe I am over this hill now.
You have all helped me to get this point.  I say THANK YOU to each and everyone of you that have responded to my posts or just engaged in discussion with me.

YEEESSSSSS!!!! You did it, I am so proud of you!!! Its okay to take our Xanax when we are nervous, but maybe now that you have done it, maybe you won't need it next time. Good job, keep up the good work!! I am ecstatic for you!
