Hi Guys...
Im on week 2 of Zoloft 50mg. Today I couldnt relax at all! I feel like I have to keep going and going....I changed my meds to night-time 9pm and didn't sleep well last night...Do u think the time of day has something to do with the effect of the med? Im going to take it at 5pm today...I need to find the time thats going to work for me. So frustrating..

My daughter was on Zoloft and she said it really amp'd her up, so she always took it first thing in the morning with breakfast. Hope that helps.

I have never taken Zoloft but I agree that if it makes you feel amped up, its probably best to take it in the morning. Hopefully soon it will stop making you feel that way and it will just make you feel better. I notice when I take a med sometimes I have unpleasant side effects for a while and then I feel better after that.
Good luck to you and keep letting us know how your doing on it.

Im surprised people find that Zoloft gives energy. I take 200mg at night and it practically knocks me out. Antidepressants do affect certain people differently though.

Good Morning,

Medications affect people in different ways and it your feeling charged up fromthe medication I agree mornings are the time for you to take your med.  This gives you all day to wear off the feeling of being "amped up".  By bedtime hopefully you will be exhausted and fall to sleep.

Take care and keep on talking with us.

Hugs to you,

Kitt
