So I am now unable to sleep through the night. The time is now 4:50am. Ive been awake for around a half hour. And its not just being awake. I wake up drenched in sweat, my heart beating out of my chest and i have to go bathroom over and over. I took an aspirin and my chest is finally starting to not hurt as much but im still running to the bathroom and I can not for the life of me fall back asleep. This has been going on almost nightly for about a month. I started taking sleeping pills (well Excedrin pm and Tylenol pm) and that helped but i dont like taking something too long, it scares me, especially something not prescribed to me. I even tried staying up until two so i would sleep longer but that just means I'll wake up at five or six instead of three or four. What really sucks is that I'm usually a late sleeper, til like noon.
Does this happen to anyone else...what do/can you do?

Drenched in sweat and going to the bathroom numerous times? It sounds more like a physical problem to me. And it's going on for a month. I think you should have it checked out. Can you make an appointment for a physical checkup? Are you on any medication besides the sleeping pills?

I agree I think you should talk to your doctor about this. This doesn't sound right. Good luck!

LadyBug,

Good Morning to you.  The wise have already spoken and I agree with them 100%.  Please do make an appointment with your PCP to have a good medical screening exam.

You may have something going on that can easily be fixed.  I wish you peace my friend.
