Does anyone have a favorite book that helps them feel better about themselves, problems and generally gives you a boost even if you have read it 1,000 times?  Mine, Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach (sp).  Also, books about Edgar Cayce readings and The Celestine Prophecy.

Just about any book will make me feel better as long as it takes my mind off of things. I would have to say my favorites would be all of my spiritual books and motivational ones though :)

I like both "The Celestine Prophecy" and "From Panic To Power" as well. Have them both on CD, so I can hear them when traveling.

I think you hit the nail on the head!  When we are distracted and do not think about what is going on with us, we forget it and lose ourselves in another world.  Lets call it constructive escapism. tongue

Good Morning,

I have lots of favorite authors but I have read so many books it is hard to say my favorite is __________ ?

I read for pleasure and to relax so I would have to say fiction is my habit.  I truly like mystery novels by John Sandford and James Patterson.

I am also a big fan of Jodi Picoult.  Guess I just like to escape to the land of no anxiety when I read.

Thanks,
Kitt
