All,

I just began allergy shots on Tuesday, and have been developing laryngeal swelling many times a day since then.  Been to the ER 5 times since Tuesday, and last night they reluctantly gave me a decadron (strong steroid shot).  I've called my allergist, and we won't do any more shots; they're recommending drops instead.

I am getting a second opinion this coming Tuesday.  I had started doing so VERY much better after being in another part of the country for 6 weeks.  These issues only began with those accursed shots.

I am so very sorry to have been missing for so long.  Travel, checking into health changes, and crazy job schedules kept me away for many weeks.  Now this terrifying throat and breathing stuff is back as bad as it's ever been, and I'm very anxious about how to make it stop for now and then get under control permanently.  Could sure use positive thoughts from you all if you haven't written me off.  :(

Percy,

Hello and I am sorry you are having a bad time with the medicatons.  I do not have an answer for you and I feel perhaps this question is  not within the scope of the forum as it truly is one that needs a professional to give you the best advice.

You have my prayers and best wishes as I know 5 visits to the ER surely has been uncomfortable for you.

Remember to be your own best advocate and seek out a professional to help you get to the bottom of your breathing issues.

We understand your anxiety.

Gentle Hugs

Kitt

Hey Percy,

You accidentally posted this same post in all the forums...

Just an FYI for you and I am sure it will just be ignored in the forums you did not mean it to be in.  :-)

Hugs

THanks, Kitt. Yes, I went through and deleted all the others. I'm so loopy that I did leave all my Allergy&Asthma questions in, so I'm editting my A/P post for the others on this forum. Miss you all.

Hey Percy :)

Glad to see you back and a warm welcome to you my friend. Don't feel bad about being off of the forums for awhile, because I was off for about 3 months due to an overwhelming work schedule. As for your issues, I'm not sure that I can offer you much but support. I had to take the steroids when I was younger for my allergies and it was not much fun at times. . . I really do hate the shots, lol. I have to say the mild summer we have had in the states this year has caused the weeds to flourish, and there are tons of us suffering even more. I almost did not make it through haying time, and think I am going to hire out next year to save me the grief.

Take care and look forward to seeing you more!
