I'am soooo glad that i found this web-site...... I am goign through a realllllly hard time with my anxiety and depression it sucks soo bad i use to make fun of depression saying do people really feel like that and now i know and i would'nt wish this on my worst enemy.... I also feel like something is wrong with me and that I might have a brain tumor and i feel like i think too much about stupid things and thats what makes me feel like im going crazy. I have always been the outgoign funny friend and I feel like im going down hill. I have been taking zoloft for a little over three weeks now and i have seen a little change (good change) but today for some reason both my anxiety and depression set off real bad; thats why I came to this site. Every other site just made my anxiety worse, this site gave me a little hope.  Thanks for the suport everyone :) it does mean a lot!

Hey ValerieNichole and welcome to Healingwell. Sorry for the reason you have to be here though. Medications like Zoloft can take 4-6 weeks to fully kick in. If you haven't already I would suggest maybe talking to your doctor about some fast acting meds (such as Xanax, Klonopin or Ativan) to help out in the meantime to quiet those bad times. We look forward to hearing more from you.

You are in the right place for caring, understanding people.  Give your med time to work, if you do not continue to feel somewhat better, call your Dr.  I never had good success with Anti-Depressants.  When my Dr. started just treating my anxiety, the depression went away as well.  We all react differently to meds and unfortunately for some of us it takes a while to find the right one.  It is difficult to wait when all you want to do is feel better, but it is well worth it when you do start to feel better.  I hope today finds you better than the day before.  I have always found that when I had a really, really bad day, the next one was not so bad.
Take Care turn
