I was up yet another 24 hrs yesterday, not being able to sleep. I can not sleep for days, then crash, then back to not sleeping.
I have tried Ambien(it makes me hyper), Lunesta, soma, chloral Hydrate, klonopin, remron, doxiphin(sp?), trazadone, melatonin, and more I can't even think of. I just can't fall asleep.
My doctor suggested I do a sleep study, but what would they test if i didn't sleep?
Its so frustrating.
I've been working on relaxation techniches and a CD with subliminal tones that sounds like rain, and it hasn't help yet either.
I'm so frustrate and lost about what to do.

On Jan 17th 2008 I had a very traumatic situation ending in a colostomy. had the reversal which put me through months of hell, but better now. I have had over 12 pretty major surgeries, 100's of "procedures", my immune system is a NO GO. I've been in and out of the hospital for the last 10 years. I have no real Dx's really. I have a lot of "Psuedo" (sp?) symptoms, so they say. This in just 24 years and its just half the story. (Violin's playing yet?)

Meds: Celexa, Klonopin, Serequel, Hydrocodone)

When you say you have not slept in 24 hours are you stating you have not fallen asleep at all or that your doze off only to wake up again?
Also do you have a counselor or are you in therapy of any type?
A bit more information may help me in giving you advice.
If you don't mind sharing the above requested info, it would be helpful.
So sorry to hear you are having problems sleeping........... I know how that can be.  I have been up since 4:00 AM due to waking up and unable to get back to sleep.
Take care,
