cry  Hello everyone!
Sorry its been a while since I posted last.  Dont know if anybody will remember me.  I'm really having a hard time right now!  I woke up a few days ago with a ganglien cyst on my wrist.  It wasnt too painful at the time but it freaked me out because I've never even seen one before.  Its real painful now!  I went to the hospital because I thought I had a broken bone or something.  It looked like when I broke my bone in my hand before.  The doctor told me to go see my regular doctor and gave me some Tramadol 50 mgs.  I havent taken it yet because I'm scared to!  I'm always afraid of meds!  Well everything new.  Fear of allergic reactions and the med making me feel too much energy and that always makes me panic.  Like the Loratabs they gave me when I had my wisdom teeth removed.  They made me so nervous!
Anyway, I'm terrified of going to the doctor for this though!  I'm terrified of what they are going to do!  I've looked up some about the procedures.  At least I found out the cyst is harmless.  But I am afraid of what they might do!  Injections?  Surgery?  Will they put me to sleep?  I read that this will most likely even come back!

I'm scared and crying!  Sorry to anyone that has it worse than me!

I have one in my wrist that acts up every once in awhile. Calm your self, they aren't anything to worry about. Put heat on and that should relieve the discomfort. I have never used any pain meds for those. Just heat and rest. Good luck!

Yeah but what do they do for it to get rid of it? Anybody been through that before? Thanks for the support and kind words!

Ganglion cysts arise from the capsule of a joint or the sheath of a tendon. They can be found at different places on the wrist. A ganglion cyst that grows on the top of the wrist is called a dorsal ganglion. Others are found on the underside of the wrist between the thumb and your pulse point, at the end joint of a finger, or at the base of a finger. Most of the time, these are harmless and will often disappear in time.

This is some info I found on them. As I stated I have one myself, and the docs did nothing and it went away in time. If you can take anti inflammatories like Motrin that should help some with the discomfort. Once again, these are nothing serious. Good luck!
