Ok, I haven't been on in a while and not sure where this post needs to go....
I have a new anxiety dilemma to consider....I am pregnant!!!  And my OB wants me to cut my Zoloft from 100mg to 50mg and maybe even down to 25mg during the pregnancy!!!  I stayed on 50mg my last pregnancy but have a new doc this time.  Anyone experienced anxiety and pregnancy and if so, any suggestions????  Thanks!!!

Congratulations on the news, that is awesome. If your Doctor feels you need to cut down on your dose please do discuss your anxiety fears with her.  Is there anything else you might be able to safely use with the decreased dose of Zoloft?
Also if you did well on 50 mg before remember that as a positive and know you can do it again for the safety of the baby and yourself.
Take care and hugs,

Thanks Kitt!
We are really excited!!
My OB said the only thing she recs me take during pregnancy is Welbutrin or Zoloft.  I tried Welbutrin and it gave me migraines and increased my anxiety.  I will try to cut down my Zoloft but do not want to go directly to 50mg from 100mg!!  I want to taper to 75mg and then 50mg.  I was fine on 50mg before and actually stayed on that dose for a year until I went back to work from having the baby.  I hope my pregnancy hormones kick in and I will be ok.  I go back to the doc on 10/27 so we will see!!  My new anxiety fear is blood pressure as it increased toward the end of my pregnancy last time; so this has become my current obsession. Thanks for all your support!!

Congratulations! I hope you take the advice of your OBGYN and maybe if your anxiety ramps up you could do CBT or therapy more regularly? I would also taper, rather than just cutting back. Wow- a baby! Thats so awesome.

All the best,
