Hey All,   You probably don't remember me I used to post along time ago...   I had tons of health issues which gave me anxiety/agorophobia...   I did not leave my house hardly at all for 2 years...   Then a angel came into my life named Dustin....   He told me to try Klonopin...   I had tried some antidepressants and they all made me sicker...  So I was so scared to try it...   But with his encouragement I did...   It is now almost 2 years later...   I am not perfect but I have my life back...   I can leave my house..   I can drive my kids to school...  This to me is amazing..   I even went on a plane for the first time in 5 years..  It was tough but I did it.. I met Dustin on healingwell...  If it were not for this site I will still be in my house not living my life....   Drugs are not the answer for everyone..   I was very against them for sure...  I did try to go off of it a few months ago boy that was a nightmare...  I have come to the point in my life that if I have to take a pill that makes me ok to live it is ok....   Just like someone that has a heart condition or diabetes it just is what it is....    Just wanted to thank him for helping me and giving me back my life....    I am forever indepted to him....   He is a true friend for life...  Hope all of you are doing well and keep fighting this terrible thing called anxiety.....   Take Care All..... wink    Linda

Dear Linda,

Thank you so much for coming back and letting us know how you are doing.  I have not seen Dustin in a very long time but you are right, I remember both of you.  He was always very helpful and supportive.

Congratulations on all of your wonderful accomplishments.  You have truly learned how to overcome your anxiety and if medications help then I, for one, do believe in using them as ordered by your Physician.

So very nice to hear from you.

Hugs

Kitt

Congratulations on your success- im great that has worked out for you.

Its also important to remember that as A&P is different for everyone and everyone's journey is different that some people simply cant afford not to take medication. I for one am one of those people who has no choice but to rely on my meds to assist in my journey.

All the best

I am glad you are doing more things!  That is great.  I think we all have one or two people on this site that we really connect with and who know just the right things to lift us up.  I know that I would not be in as good a place as I am now if it weren't for the people here.  They encouraged me to keep trying, even when I felt like I had tried every med in the world and nothing was working. I really felt like giving up.  But I did find one that helped me, along with me making changes to help myself.  My Dr. told me, if the meds make you feel better and raise the quality of your life, so what if you have to take them everyday.  Your post was so uplifting, it made my day!

Thank you smilewinkgrin

Kitt, thank you for the compliment, it made me feel so good.  I am doing better.  And on top of everything, my husband arranged a picnic lunch for us today half way between where he works and where I work.  The weather is beautiful and it was so nice to sit outside. We have not had a great summer, but things are better.
