Hello and welcome Triston's Momma, I found this site by accident and I am so greatful I did!! As you will see there are so many friendly people that are dealing with the same issues....Are you taking any medication?? I am only on week two of my Zoloft and my friend just made the comment the other day that I am smiling alittle more than I have in the past 2 months! So that is a blessing.. I am not here to shove religion down peoples throat but I have found it eaiser to cope with my anxiety and fears through the Lord, I have found too that relaxation cds( I download them off of itunes on to the handy ipod) :) I listen to them as I try to fall asleep!! I found that I don't wake up in a panic attack since I have been listening to at night... Keep in mind I am no pro nor do I claim to be as I am new to this anxiety stuff as well, also my friend suggest that I keep a journal but I have yet to do it......Hope to see you on here more.......

Welcome...
I am also on Zoloft - 75 mg....for about 10 weeks. I do feel much better but still cannot sleep without xanax. When I lack sleep I am more anxious...so I suck it up and take the xanax. The things that helped me are: walking (outside), calming music, meditating with deep breathing (even if its for 5 minutes), prayer (lots), talking to people that have been through it, therapy, and just taking each day moment by moment.
I wish you luck....it's not easy
