I am having health anxiety about it right now and debating how long to wait to call the doc. I am not having severe pain, but I've been having steady lower right hand side abdominal pain since yesterday. I also have my period, but the pain is higher up than my ovaries. I will call if the pain gets worse, it hasn't. It just hasn't gotten better. The pain feels like a pulled muscle to me, is that possible? I don't have any other symptoms and I do have some gas, but the fact that this pain is in the same spot is scaring me. It doesn't hurt when I press down on my stomach, I don't feel sick or anything. I don't know why I'm writing to you all. I guess I just need support. I know you're not doctors, but has anyone experienced appendicitis? How did you know it was time to take action? I'm feeling pretty stupid right now and scared. I am so afraid of hospitals.

I had appendicitis and had it removed. You do not sound like I did. My pain was REALLY bad. I think you just are having pain from your monthly. Take a deep breath, I am sure you will be fine. Try putting a heating bag on your tummy, that should help.

Thanks Nanners. The pain is a little higher than where it usually is during my period, but I think you may be right. It's not getting any worse at any rate, so I'm not going to worry. Taking a deep breath!
