Please help me! I just feel so much PANIC right now!!!!!

My chest feels tight, my heart is racing, but the worst is the shortness of breath! Then my back is so tense and I cant get that to stop so when I move just a little, my back might pop or something.

I just feel such a horrible rush like I could throw up! So much adrenalin and so much tightness in my chest! I feel like this will never end! Help!!!! Please some support please!!!!

Please just tell me this will end! I feel like it wont and I know thats not rational but I feel it so much! I've had panic attacks that last for hours! I just need some good hugs and reminders that I'm okay. It hasnt been this way in so long! Its mostly just attacks that come from obsessing about my body in some way. This attack hit me out of the blue and for no apparent reason! Its been so long since this happened! Chest is so tight!

Jen, how are you now?  Remember that if this is an anxiety attack it's only your nerves getting the best of you.  I can only speak in layman's terms because I'm not a healthcare professional at all.  Take some deep breaths and try concentrating on something, maybe take a walk or watch TV, something to take your mind off this.  Are you still online?

Yes I'm still here. I'm very nervous! I am prescribed 2mgs of clonazepam once in the am and another 2mg in the evening. I usually just take 1 mg a day or maybe 1 in the am and 1 in the pm. I just took a whole 2 mgs and I'm still having a panic attack.

I'm trying to think this is just stress coming out all at once. I love my son more than anything in the world and he's turning 3 on Jan 11th. Well I split up with his father about a year and a half ago. Now I have a new boyfriend so my ex is taking me to court for complete custody of our son. He told alot of lies in the paperwork I was served. And some of it was true. Its in the paperwork that I take clonazepam. But its prescribed to me! I've been so scared of loosing him and I think that combined with the natural stressors of life are building up and they just exploded and thats what I'm suffering from.

Of coarse it doesnt help that I just read about a person freaking out coming of just .5mgs of clonazepam and having really bad withdrawals and saying he heard so many bad things about clonazepam. I'm so freaking out about the fact that I'm still in so much anxiety right now after I took 2 mgs! Dang!

Please tell me this will end!

Do you want to go into Chat?  It's easier to "talk".

Dear Jen,

Sorry I missed you last night but hope things are better today. For the next couple of days can you just stay in the moment and take it one step at a time? Many people take medications............you have a dx of anxiety and are taking a medication prescribed by your physician. This is nothing to be ashamed of or worried about. In fact you have sought medical care for your anxiety which shows you are a responsible person and advocating for your own health.

I am glad Lanie was here for you last night.

you know I support you and today I wish you a very happy holiday.

Gentle Hugs
