My boyfriends parents got me the book When Panic Attacks by David Burns for Christmas.
I was so excited to finally have a book to help me. I didn't expect it to also be kinda a CBT workbook as well, which made me even more excited as I started to read and fill in the blanks.
So far, whenever I have had a "crazy" thought go through my mind, I'll go home, begin reading, and there will be an example of a "crazy" thought just like it in the book!
I was doubtful in the beginning as I started to read thinking it would be just like the things I read online, but I was wrong! It's already helped me just because I am reading about
other people who have experienced the exact same things, so I don't feel alone. I feel like this book is really going to help me out, and of course some visits with a therapist.
So I'm just saying it's been a fantastic book for me thus far, and I am so grateful that my "in-laws"(as I already call them lol) care so much to get me that book.
