Well, I took the plunge and started therapy today. Didn't do to much. Took a test..I guess to help determine my diagnosis. Although he said he already knew it was situational/health anxiety.
I have gone to this therapist before and I found him helpful.
I am hoping for some good results this time too. He wants me to come back tomorrow morning because he didn't feel we accomplished enough today.
He gave me some ways to start changing my thought process. The ABC method if you have ever heard of it.
He also called a psychiatrist that he often deals with to get me in sooner than my March appointment that I had at my old office. He agreed that was unprofessional for a patient is crisis.
So, hopefully it will get better.
I do have a question though...Has anyone ever tried peppermint oil to relieve stress/anxiety/headache? My neighbor just brought some down to me to try. It's supposed to be relaxing to either put it in tea and inhale or mix will olive oil and rub on forehead and temples.
I am going to give it a try. This head pressure is just unbelievable and of course I just think the worst.
