Since last night I have felt like there was "something" caught" in the top of my throat. I have been taken aspirin every 4 hours for neck pain, it's uncoated so not sure if that has contributed to it. Today the husband and I went out to eat for lunch. I still had this "feeling" in my throat. Ate lunch, everything went down fine....got home, was in the bathroom, swallowed and I felt it very bad, it literally made me sick to my stomach and I threw up a few times. I feel a little better now and the "something" in my throat is not quite a pronounced as before. Is this part of the anxiety or what? OF COURSE, the first thing I think of is "what if" I have esophageal cancer! This is very scary and I need some support here please.

It does sound like an anxiety symptom. I have that too. Sometimes, I cannot swallow food or even drinks....when my anxiety and panic is severe. How often has this happened to you? And are you seeing a doctor about your anxiety?

I have noticed the feeling in my throat before but this is the first time this as happened. I was not feeling anxious though when this happened. I was diagnosed by my family doctor about a month ago so this is all so new to me. Before I thought I was just a constant worrier and didn't realize there was actually a name for it.
