I did not know---where to post this....thought Anxiety-Panic would be best place!   Did not wanna put it in..."Epilispsy"......I've been tested for that---EEG....MRI.....of brain--"normal"---thinking it may be..."anxiety"-!eyes --Gee..I hope someone responds who has experienced something ,....even similar! So----here goes---
Just got back from my neuro- where I got more botox injections--for my "hemifacial spasm"-I made the mistake of not getting any for 14 months--(When I should be getting them...every 5 ...6 or 7 most!)

--My neuro-gave me extra botox for my neck....that started to spasm....(The hemispasm can spread to the neck muscles)---anyway.....---to this really "Weird" symptom!

I had been writing about how----some nights....while in bed....right before going off to sleep---I get this mild.."electric shock" feeling in my head!

Told my neuro.....AND an epilepsy specialist! All my tests are "normal"....Brain MRI.....& last week an EEG --!   BOTH......said it was...."anxiety"..

Drs...said...just "stress related"--! Well....last couple weeks...they have been going away...BUT.....last 2 nites......when falling off to sleep-----ALL of a sudden......any sound in my room......(Like i have an air purifier.....makes a nice....soft soothing light hum......)----sudddenly for a ..."Split second" gets really loud! Like my hearing....suddenly becomes.....really.."acute"-! sounds like a .."Buzz"--! But..loud! Just last for a second or two---then I go off to sleep-!

Has anyone ever...expierienced---anything like this?   rolleyes if so,.......WHAT the heck is it? Get back.....with some thougts....Thanks....Robert

I have read lots of people describe something similar in this forum, so I don't think you're alone. I've never had them but hopefully someone else who has will reply. Good luck to you.

There are literally hundreds of "symptoms" that can be anxiety related.

One of things that happens under stress and anxiety is a constriction in the capillaries in the brain - this often causes what a lot of us go through - a feeling of "not being there" or what's called depersonalization.

This same constriction can cause a ringing in the ears, tingling in the face, spasms; etc.

As to whether or not it can cause it unilaterally (on one side of the face or not), only a qualified Dr. could tell you for sure.

Best of luck.

I have experienced where noises gradually seem to get louder, but a few times I do recall in just quickly JUMPING into acute hearing. I also have experienced where it slightly looks like inanimate objects are "breathing" or "pulsating", dizziness, and feelings of unreality.

Those seem to be at least close to the same category. I have what's called derealization and depersonalization. It's caused from acute levels of anxiety. I can always almost swear that I have some sort of mental or brain disfunction, but it's never true. It's just such a weird, foggy, dreamlike feeling.

I sometimes lose my concentration or concentrate WAY too much, and feel as if I am floating outside of my own body and watching it as if it where a movie. Everything just seems very weird, confusing, and alot of the time scary. I also have spells where I have very vivid dreams.
