Hello dear friends,

I think I have my extreme anxiety a bit under control now. It's been a long few months. My excruciating headaches have improved also..thank goodness.

What I do still have is a very sore neck....mostly just on the sides. My temples are also tender to the touch. This is pretty much 24/7 since the beginning of December. I have a second opinion with a new neuro early February but this is really starting to scare me.

I can't tell if it's a symptom of my lyme disease that we are thinking is flaring or if it is just a nasty anxiety symptom. Either way..it's scaring me.

I made the mistake of googling...I know...please don't be to harsh on me. The only thing that offered was temporal arteritis and I am young for that. I am 36 and that usually occurs over 50.

Anyone else have this sort of pain last for months? I thought that if it was all muscle related the Klonopin would calm it down but no such luck so far.

Any suggestions?

Honestly Kitkat I really just think it is from the tension that anxiety can cause. When your anxiety is really high we tend to tense up, and I think thats what you are doing. I don't think the Klonopin would really act like a muscle relaxer. Good luck!

Thanks Nanners,

It is really bothering me. I try very hard to relax my shoulders. Every 15 mins. or so I remind myself to let my shoulders fall.

I am tired of feeling scared. I am tired of playing guessing games with my doctors. Right now one says you are for sure in a relapse of lyme disease while my neurologist says absolutely not. It really weighs heavily on my mind.

My Zoloft was increased to 100mgs. today so I hope I see some added benefits.

Blessings, kitkat
