Hi im realitivtly new to healing well but anxious about alot

hi im a 29 year old female im always getting stressed out because i have a great deal of medical issues bipolar  ashma very bad migraines seizures anemia herniated discs in my neck i had major surgery on my spine falling off a horse i trained. i still ride though but on my own much gentler horse rosie  and i dont train any more ): besides this i have a benign  bone mass on my skull that the nuro has been tracking he wants me to have another mri but im sick of them every time i have one it says its grown example it used to be 1.2 cm its now 1,7 cm over 3 years it now being 1.7 cm  and im to anxious to have the mri despite the fact ive had something like 20 plus mri,s over 3 years some people say im just worrying myself sick i mean i know im very lucky it could be cancer thank god its not but i have so much to deal with how can i relax more? I know i cant be rid of the ashma or migraines or bipolar ect... but surely i can be more relaxed about the health issues?

Hello. I hear you on the health issues. My anxiety meds help calm me but I can't make my medical issues go away. Life just seems unfair sometimes. I try to teach myself NOT to say why me. It only makes me worse. Sometimes I can't help it though.

I have had about 13 MRI's myself, numerous CT scans, 4 spinal taps and tons of other things. It is hard always going to the doctor for tests. I sometimes wish I could just have a break from being a patient. I have had lyme disease for what seems like forever and now a lesion on the left side of brain. No one has been able to help yet but I am trying to be hopeful. I am sure you feel the same way. It is hard dealing with it emotionally.

I do worry myself sick but I think in our situation it is understandable. The worst fear to me is the fear of the unknown. Not knowing what is going to be found next.

Have you tried talking to a therapist about this? I just recently started and sometimes his words put things into perspective for me and make it a little better.

I am sorry your on this anxiety merry go round. It truly isn't needed on top of all your other worries. I often wonder why others who have chronic health conditions don't get the same panic/worry I do. I guess we are all not created equal.

My best to you and I hope you can feel relaxed soon. Mediation helps a bit too. There are free on line audio meditations that I use to help me relax. It only lasts like 8 minutes but when I am done my brain feels like it had a break from worrying.

Blessings to you, kit

You do have to register but the whole program is free and you may work it at your own pace. Good luck.

Hi and welcome to HW. I have a chronic and incurable bowel disease myself and still have alot anxiety related to tests etc. I would recommend getting in and seeing a therapist that deals with illness. I think if you are able to talk it thru with someone it will really help you. It helped me immensley. Good luck!
