So, I have been doing extrememly well with my anxiety(as in it was non-exsistent) for over a month now.(Thanks to CBT) However, the past few days in a row, I have had some battles with it. The first day I just had slight feelings of it, but could shake it off pretty easily. The next day I woke up at 6:45am and on the verge of a panic attack, and I felt as if I KNEW something bad was going to happen that day. I had disturbing thoughts of being the only person left in the world and that I would lose my mind or something. After about 15 minutes I was able to fall back to sleep, however. That day I found out one of my old friends had killed himself, and my cousin and her mother called my mom threatening to beat her up, kill her, and was cussing her out and whatnot. So I almost had a panic attack because they called about 5 minutes after I found out about my friend. I ended up being okay, though. Then today I have been just a little up and down, its not like really awful except about once a day. Tonight however, while I was driving I had a feeling that I was losing my mind and almost had a panic attack, but I somehow managed to keep it under control. At the moment I am doing fairly well, but I was just wondering if anyone had any good suggestions about recurring anxiety that isn't ridiculously high? It's not affecting me all day, I've just been having about 10-30 min. bursts. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated :-)

Much love and God Bless

Hello,
I would suggest distraction of sorts at least that's what works for me when I'm in anxiety. Sometimes a relaxing bath with candles, or music. Deep breathing, T.V. going for a walk and getting away from the situation that you are in. Have you been on any of the anti-anxity meds? I hope that you have been able to work things out with your family as they are important for support. I wish you all the best and I think people here will be of great help.

How about going back and reviewing your CBT. It helped before, let it help you again. Good luck!
