Hi All

I had been going through a very positive period in regard to my GAD but the last couple off weeks things have been getting worse. I think this is down to sleep issues and only getting about 2hrs a night which is having a knock on effect with my anxiety which is very frustrating. I have also found that im getting depressed again as things in my life are not going the way I would like them to. I am so annoyed with myself for letting myself get bad again and starting to doubt myself and wether I can ever overcome these mental health problems.. I have a meeting with my psychiatrist on the 19th so will discuss things with him then.

Any chance maybe you can pull up the CBT thread and start working on that to help change your thought patterns? Just a thought. Good luck!

Sorry to hear it's rearing it's ugly head again. At least your right on top of it and hopefully you can nip it quicker.

Any chance you can call your doctor and explain that you recognize it coming back and you don't want it to get worse. Waiting until the 19th might be kind of hard on you. Maybe with your explanation they can squeeze you in somewhere or put you on a cancel list.

Peace to you, kitkat

Hey Ben,

I am with Nanners on this one....................try getting back to your CBT and using it faithfully to help you chase away the anxiety and work through the "stinkin thinkin" that we all get stuck in.

Work with it and your therapist and know I am here to support you.

Hi! I find that anxiety (with everything in life) goes up and down without asking our permission. I always try and reflect on how far I have come when anxiety is giving me a kicking and remind myself that it will pass again..take care.

Hi Meg

Thanks for the good advice you are right about the anxiety going up and down and I do need to focus more on the last few months which have been better for me. Glad to see you back.
