Hi Sunbells80 welcome to HW, you are in good company here and I hope you enjoy being a part of the forum :-) .
Anxiety often becomes more pronounced when you get sick (it's scary hey?) and then hangs around even when you get better. Are you having any counseling or taking meds for this? Sometimes it helps to talk to a health professional. Take care, and welcome again.

Welcome to HealingWell and the A & P Forum. Thank you for your introduction.

It feels to me like you may have GERD and wondering if you are on any medication for this? If you have a medical disorder that is causing your anxiety the medical issue should be treated and you may see a decrease in your anxiety.

We have a great GERD/Heartburn Forum if you would like to check it out. You will find a wealth of information in that forum re acid reflux and heartburn.

Again a warm welcome,

Kitt

Hey Sunbells,

Just wanted to add my welcome to you also. If you feel concerned with the Ativan, may I suggest that you get in with your doctor and see if he can give you something else to help out with your anxiety. I take Xanax for those stressful moments, but I only have to take it maybe 1-3 times a month and thats not enough to get dependent. Look forward to hearing more from you.

Hugs

Yes Sunbells80 Acid Reflux/GERD can cause all those symptoms. My husband scared me to death just a couple of months ago with chest pains, turned out to be acid reflux/Gerd. Could be you need to up your Prilosec. Also, thyroid conditions can cause similar symptoms, so you might want to get that checked too. Its a simple blood test, and if its too high or low they can give you medication to help out. Good luck!

HI I am fairly new to anxiety.  For about the last two months I've been on an anxiety roller coaster.  I can take a simple chest pain and worry myself into a anxiety attack.  Which only creates more worry and more anxiety symptoms.  I myself is still seeking answers.  How can my body get rid of this?  What can I do to stop the burning scalpe sensations?  How can I retrain my body for positive thinking.  It's scary and I'm tired of felling like this.  What are ur symptoms?

 Welcome Sunbell and Dashone

Dashone,  also had the burning scalp feeling it lasted for about a month and it was to the point that I was on the verge of going to the emergency room. The different anxiety symptoms are numerous and nerve racking. Currently, my muscles twitch all the time. My doctor says it just of anxiety. Nonetheless, I feel I am doing better. I had my first anxiety attack in August of 08 as I was going through the process of buying my first house. It has been a roller coaster ride since then. Stay Strong.

Just wanted to welcome cjbunny, Dashone and trdiopn to our forum. Instead of linking your post to Sunbells please take a moment and start your own post. Your current postings are just going to get lost in this one. Thanks for your understanding.
