hi this is pinkmelody again. Now I have anxiety.I just have to ask this question.I can be sitting down, doing house work,or just anything.I will get a tug or a pain on my left side of my chest, right on the heart. If somebody experiences this please let me know.Because everytime i feel this it just makes me feel more worried and scared.I dont like feeling alone with this...Now,back in july when i got an ekg and my doctor said you are feeling the pains, but its not your heart. If its not your heart.WHAT IS IT?

Sometimes Acid Reflux can cause pain in your chest. My husband scared me to death just a few months ago because he had pain in his chest, took him to the doctor turned out to be Acid Reflux. Maybe thats whats going on with you or maybe you have strained a muscle on that side of your chest.

I use to get them years ago when I had my first bout of anxiety/panic. I had complete cardiac work up and it appeared to be just stress related.

If I remember your other posts you have had a cardiac work up..correct? Chest discomfort is a very common sign of anxiety. Just like panic attacks physical symptoms can just appear out of the blue.

Also, don't forget that as anxiety sufferers we tend to be more in tune with our bodies. We feel every little pain unlike most others.

If it's really bothersome give your doc a call. Maybe they can offer some reassurance.

Blessings, kitkat

Melody,

I agree 100& with what kitkat said, we anxiety sufferes do tend to tell every single little pinch our body experiences. And you are not alone melody, I feel heart tugs all the time, headaches and major dizziness. I have gotten tests and the doctor keeps telling me the same thing : YOU ARE OK!
I feel everthing my body experiences 100% fold than i did before. So whenever you feel anything that relates to the anxiety symptoms, just remember : its your mind...its all in your mind.

I don't get them very often, but I do get them. I've always thought they were little muscle spasms. Everyone probably gets them but like others have said, we'll feel them more strongly than "normal people".

Hi Melody.... It's Blessings! Sorry you are having some struggles again. I get the heaviness in the chest along with quick stabbing type pains here and there. I just went recently to the Dr's AGAIN, and he did a blood panel and ran a bunch of tests.....the outcome? I AM PERFECT!!!! LOL So once again...its all in the head. I will say just knowing others suffer daily with same symptoms makes one feel better. I wish we all could quit the anxiety and emotional roller coaster with a touch of a button...but that would be too easy. =) Hope things are better for you now Melody. I have recently purchased two programs for anxiety...one is called "Panic Away with Joe Barry", and the other is "Attacking Anxiety and Depression with Lucina Bassett". Both are amazing and when you get into them...I swear they are speaking as if they were inside us. They are wonderful! My thoughts are with you! Hope to hear back from you soon.....(I am not online all the time, so if you leave a message, it may take a couple days=)
