A little about me, hmm. I am 30 year old mother with 3 children, 2 are special needs. I suffer from panic/anxiety disorder. I am attempting to go med free for a while. I get nervous in public but my biggest phobia is being alone. I CANNOT be alone at all or I end up hospitalized it is overwhelming and I just want people that I can talk to who understand and will not judge me.

Welcome!!:))
You have come to the right place. You will find a lot of people with the same symptoms you have. I have PAD too! You are not alone!
May I ask why you are attempting to go med free? We are advised never to stop taking medication abruptly..especially benzodiazepins...if you are relying on them. You will experience severe withdrawal symptoms and your panic & anxiety will worsen. Please talk to your doctor/psychiatrist about this and do not do it alone. You should be tapering off the med slowly.

Just wanted to add my welcome to you also. I too wonder why you are going med free? Sometimes these meds are just required to help us have a normal life. I hope you will stay with us and will find the support you are looking for. Hugs!

Good Morning !

I'd like to extend a warm welcome to you on your first visit to Healing Well!

I am also wondering why you are trying to go med free if the medicaiton was helping you? I have been on medication for many years and the few times I tried to go without were not good.

I have had many adjustments in medications and right now I seem to have a good working combo of several medications.

Again a warm welcome and please know we care.

Thanks for the welcome. In response to the med free question: I was on clonazepam and buspar but had grown a tolerance to it. I Did taper off of both. I am now doing relaxation and breathing techniques to help through the PAD. Last night was a very bad night, as my posts show :)

I unfortunately have a fear of being alone, ever. At times I am consumed with obsessive thoughts, which was my problem last night.

I look forward to being/staying here and being in a place where I don't feel so alone.

Hey there,

I am glad to know you are trying relaxation methods as that is a good way to help your anxiety.

I am wondering if you have a pet of any type, dog or cat? I have a dog and when my husband is away and I am alone I find my dog to be my best friend. It prevents me from feeling alone. Just a thought :)

Hope your day is peaceful.

Kitt:
:) I DO have a dog, 2 cats 1 quite pregnant, 2 kittens. I think my fear is needing to know that someone can talk to me, console me. I just wish this never happened :(
