a rash? I've been having horrible skin problems for the last 5 months or so and I'm beginning to wonder if this is just a new outlet my anxiety has found - anyone else experienced this? My doctor can't figure out what it is, they did biopsies and everything but keep coming up "allergic contact dermatitis" but I have changed all my products and whatnot to see what was triggering it, had patch testing, nothing has changed it. So I'm starting to suspect anxiety or perhaps food allergies. I'm being treated for eczema because they can't come up with anything else, it offers a small bit of relief but keeps flaring for no apparent reason.

After my first child was born, I had the same thing happen to me. Don't know if there is an anxiety link - I have fibromygia. Anyhoo, I was living at the Dermatologists office. Decided to take things in my own hands. I took 400 iu of Vitamin E. It took about 3-4 weeks, but my skin cleared up. You could have a candida problem .....breads, etc. A good book to read is - The Yeast Connection. Great book and may explain other symptoms you have and never connected the dots to the puzzle. Good luck.

Funny you should say that! about a year ago I started getting these sporatic rash breakouts! Like hives or some kind of allergic reaction. I did the same thing as you and started watching what I was eating and what products I was using but they kept coming back. Funny thing was I can't link them to any particular situation or stress related problem but they still kept coming. Whats even worse is I would actually get anxiety BECAUSE of them and start freaking out! I would take benadryl to make them go away and that would get my heart beating fast and cause me even more anxiety until I blew out into a full blown anxiety attack! No good! I've finally become more accepting and aware of my anxiety and it's symptoms so now heres how I handle it-when I start getting a rash I try to let it go until about 30 minutes before I want to go to bed if it happens after 3 or 4-(bare with me, there is a method to this madness!) That way I can take one benadryl-not 2! and lay down and be asleep before the benadryl has time to negatively affect me! If it happens earlier in the day I will go ahead and take one benadryl right away because I am active enough in the day that I won't notice the raciness as much as if I'm just laying around. And either way I still have to repeatedly tell myself-It's just anxiety- my throat is NOT going to swell up and I WONT stop breathing-it's ok! Might sound rediculous but for me its just another thing I have to deal with constantly with my anxiety. I hope you don't have nearly as much of a problem with it as I do, and I hope this post helps!
