So for about 5 months now i have been suffering from daily horrible i mean HORRIBLE nausea. It comes in attacks like the second i think about feeling sick it slowly hits me and then within 5 minutes im pacing around my room wondering if i'll be alright. I've been taking some proclorperazine but now it doesnt really work and gives me heartburn pretty bad. Also, when these "attacks" happen i feel like theres a lump in my throat but im not sure why. Also, i haven't been eating because the nausea has been so bad it usually happens once or twice a day and lasts for about 1.5-2 hours. it's horrible! im seeing a doc about it and i think it may be anxiety.Any advice or thoughts or suggestions would be greatly greatly apprectiated, since i can no longer regularly hang out with my friends or do anything, i am always worried im going to feel sick. thanks!

Kitt said exactly what I was going to say. GERD is a weird disease and it can do all of that to you. Anxiety makes it worse, too. And in my experience having reflux can cause anxiety. It's just impossible to get comfortable, and nausea especially is a horrible feeling.

My advice would be to get some Rolaids or Maalox tablets to see if they help. If they do try some OTC Prilosec or Prevacid for a week or two. If that helps, see your doctor and get a referral to a gastroenterologist so you can get properly diagnosed and learn how to deal with it/treat it.

Good luck.

I agree that acid reflux/Gerd can cause those symptoms. Problem is not eating will make it worse too. So do try to eat a little toast or something. I have Crohns Disease and I suffer with alot of nausea, I take Zofran and it works well for my nausea without making me sleepy. You might ask about that to help. Good luck!

When you have stomach issues and they have gotten to where you are the best thing to do is eat stomach friendly foods. If you eat something and you get the symptoms, stay away from that food for awhile. Get on a diet for for Gerd and see if that helps.
