New to group help - but I need help!

Forgive me if I do something incorrectly - I have never used a message board before. I really need some help dealing with my stress. I stress about everything, whether it's in my power to do anything about it or not. I have ruined relationships because of this, and any advice or coping mechanisms would be more than appreciated.

Oh I'm sorry. My name is Rheanon and I am relieved to find this is available to help me. I am 28 years old, married, and the mother of an 11 month old baby girl. Right now I live in Orlando, FL but that may change soon and I'm not sure where we are going. That alone terrifies me and adds to my anxiety.

Hi Rheanon, I am new to this forum<also> , but I think you will find it a welcoming & valuable asset in coping with everyday stress & anxiety; especially, when dealing with motherhood, relationships, & life in general...There are thoughtful, caring, kindred spirits circulating here, so I hope you keep posting ... Are you seeing a counselor? Dealing with stress can be overwhelming at times, and we all need support & advice to get through those times when we feel out-of-control & saturated... Keep in touch, & take care...

Hello and welcome to HealingWell and the A & P Forum. I am so glad you found us.

Sometimes you may get stressed out when everything happens all at once. When this happens, you should take a deep breath and try to find something to do for a few minutes to get your mind off of the problem. You could get some fresh air, listen to some music, or do an activity that will give you a fresh perspective on things.

When your fears have the best of you, it is easy to feel that things will not get any better. This is not true. There is much help available in today’s society and the best way to deal with your fears is to find effective ways to overcome them. Instead of focusing on doom, stay in the moment. Don't get caught up in spinning thoughts as I myself often do as it is hard to work yourself free from this pattern.

Please know coming here is a wonderful and courageous step. You are voicing your fears so you know what they are. Welcome to the A & P Family and please do stick with us. You will find the members here warm and caring.
