went into work today i,m hairdresser , well recently at christmas sold my business but i go in now and then to help out when i am feeling well enough and i,m only supposed to be helping out a bit on the beauty side of it for now,, but  when i got there i was booked up with hairdressing clients , and i was little stressed about a job that was booked in with me,, whilst i had started my clients hair colour i felt it,, that feeling of cant get my breath,, i was praying it would go away, i managed to finish my clients but was anxious all the time doing it,,,and most of the morning i had the breathless feeling,, i didnt like it one bit, came home and tried to relax, but then got a palpatation but with a thud like feeling and it hurt a bit,,, just been a bit worried so thought i would come on here,, i dont want to start having full on panick attacks again :(
hi i,m female age 37, stopped smoking 8 yrs ago, was diagnosed colitis i think 2008 ony ever had it under control once and flared up again 4 weeks ago (april 2010) trying to get it back under control,,, had 2 colonoscopy's and they want me to have another, i am  waiting on appointment (may 2010)
medication : pentasa 2 tabs twice a day and mesalazine enema once daily
 
also have heart murmur and get panick attacks and have some anxiety,,

IM sorry you had such a bad start today
i know that feeling all too well n i sure dont like it
are you on meds for yr a/p or no

there is also a thread about CBT you can check out

Hi no not on any meds for panics and anxiety,, all the doctor ever says when i go with symptons is oh es its panick attacks and send s me home and thats that :( sorry if i sound dumb whats CBT? thanks for replying x

No you dont sound dumb many hv no idea about it
its COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY
there is a free online one that is posted in a/p forum from ST KITT one of the other moderators here
i would ask the doc outright for something to help with yr a/p as needed there are many meds that will help n therapy as well
keep posting n let us know how you are doing

thanks for that will have to look into it,,and i think its about time i did ask for something to help with my anxiety and panics,, i always feel silly going to doctors about my anxiety and panicks they make me feel as though i am crazy,, but it really happens to me and affects me at some point on a daily basis, so yes i am going to ask for help x thank you
