Hi A/P family. I want to know if anyone has taken Citalopram for their anxiety. My Primary doc wants to put me on it and when I mentioned it to my therapist he said its for depression. I know some meds double as an anti-anxiety and anti-depressant so has anyone taken this med for their anxiety? how was your experience? Im really trying to fight this whole GAD thing without taking meds and Im hoping that CBT will help me to do such.
This too shall pass...

Citalopram like many of the ADs are prescribed for anxiety as well as depression. I tried it for a short time and it worked but then pooped out on me. I also take Valium and Buspar for my anxiety.

I have anxiety and depression.

Good luck and do discuss which medciation may be the best for your anxeity with your Dr. Good to hear from you

Gentle Hugs
