HELP.....How Do I Do This??

I tried my last resort - medications and I felt worse than ever so know I have to try a different approach. It seems like those who are recovering are doing it by taking the fear out of the symptoms.....SO HOW?
 
90% of my symptoms are physical, burning, extreme agitation, nausea, pain, hypersensitive to everything etc. If I am conscious I have dozens of them all at a hideous level...so much I can't function other than just pace and cope all day and half the nights.
 
Where do I start, how do you take the fear out of totally disabling symptoms that never leave and are on you 24/7.
 
I would really appreciate help from those who are recovering, especially if you were ever this tortured.

Hi, sorry to hear that you are having such servere physical symptoms-absolutely miserable! My anxiety also manifests in this way. I find that it cycles, with days on end like you describe, and then relief for periods of time. I do not use meds either. Have you tried therapy? (maybe a dumb question, but since I don't know at all...) I tried CBT and my own version of exposure therapy. Both very simple and effective. Also using conscious breathing techniques has helped. I don't want to go on and on in case you have already done all this. If you want to try, there are some great on-line resources-let me know if I can help. Take care and hang in there:)

I have anxiety problems that affect me in similar ways as well. I am trying to learn to deal with them but they can be really tough. I was taking an antidepressant but have decided to wean myself off of them. I should be off for good in about a week. Which just gives me something else to worry about. Am I going to be able to do it? What if I fail?
I know what you mean about being tortured. I have trouble sleeping and working. I found that a proper diet helped some.

I don't know what to say- but I wish you well and hope this passes for you quickly. I have had weeks of feeling like I just wanted to jump out of my skin I was so jittery and I don't know how I survived or what I did to get through it but somehow I did.
