It's taken 6 months for me to feel somewhat normal now that I'm entirely off lexapro.

I was switched to Buspar but at first it wasn't working so they tried Effexor but it felt like the panic attacks were worse.

Now I'm only on Buspar (45 mgs a day) and Lorazepam.  Buspar or Buspirone is a sort of sedative but very very slow acting, not anything like Lorazepam, Xanax, or Vallium for example.

I have been SO panicky lately though.  The upside is I actually feel emotion again instead of being a numb zombie.

It's nice to feel happy or sad, angry, or a little down.  Lex turned me numb.

My questions are...

Is anyone on Buspar?

If you got entirely off an anti-depressant without being put another, was the withdrawel horrible? Mine was.

Do you occasionally have bouts of extreme panic now being off the anti-depressant, and then have the attacks subside for some time, and then re-emerge for a few weeks at a time ? (That's how I've been feeling)

Thanks!

Hi Twiggygal, sorry I don't have any experience w/ meds, but I did want to say hi:) I hadn't been around for a long time either, but I think I remeber you from before. It's good to be back and see the familiar names.
I hope that the attacks ease up for you soon!

Yeah me too. Now I've been freaking out because I had lipodissolve and my stomach pain keeps getting worse.
