You're not dumb!  I just signed up and tried to use the same name from the original trivia game and it said 'invalid' too, so I created a different user name and a new password.  You can't use any old ones, it seems.  Go back and try it.  :)

mad  I hate "all of the above" answers.  I get so "anxious" worrying about keeping my time that as soon as I see the correct answer I just click on it only to find that the correct answer is "all of the above"!  GO FIGURE!!!! smhair

awty,  I too have to read some questions over & over again because it just doesn't sink in!!!

Between my fibro, bipolar and some meds it is hard for me.  I feel like I want to explain all the time to other people what is happening to me so they don't think I'm an idiot.  I forget or loose track of my thoughts in mid sentence sometimes!  Other times I am right on target and things come out of me so smooth!

Some just comes with age too!

Whatever,...it's all fun! yeah

Sukay, you are no idiot, you are by far more clever than some people because, you are able to handle multiple things at once, are aware when you have not completed a thought, take the time to stick with the task, don't give up on the task. So in my book, you are a star.

Me, I read the question, then want to run away, and have to stay present, and return to the question, but then have to re-read it, oh well, ho hum!!!

Sukay,  no explaining necessary - remember it is just a game and I figure my job is to help others go to the head of the class :)  There  are no losers in Fun Trivia.

Seems like there are even more soccer questions than before, and there is now more than the occasional question about British film stars and entertainment personalities that we'd know nothing about. Talk show hosts whose programs aren't aired here even on BBC America, pop stars whose records were hits in Europe but not even released over here.

I used to go days and days without missing a single question on this quiz, but I guess those days are over.

Oh, I meant to tell Awty, don't stop playing!! Knowledge and intelligence are two completely seperate qualities. Did you see my scores for the last 3 or 4 days? They were awful!!! Trust me this isn't an I.Q. test-it's just silly fun. Stick around:)

Kitt, you could hold a vote to see who doesn't want what.  Speaking for myself, 'sports' and the 'subject of religion' can jump in a lake ( had to be careful how I worded that!)  It's just that every time religion came up, it seemed to be impossibly difficult and obscure.  So, those are my thoughts.  The Mixed Bag will most likely include a sports question in any case.

I was just making an observation. When I first started playing the quiz a long time ago, I don't remember very many religious questions or soccer questions. There were still sports questions, but they were usually about US sports and except for baseball I know nothing about them, either.

I think the mixed bag is fair. It's annoying sometimes, but if it were a quiz on only one subject there would be some who were really good at that particular subject and others who wouldn't know very much at all about it. That would not only be annoying for some, it would also be unfair.

As I understand it the questions are randomly pulled out of the forums at Fun Trivia. Or something. You're likely to get just about anything, but it would seem that the site has gotten more popular in Europe and in particular Great Britain. Either that or I've just been "lucky" to get questions about stuff only a Brit would know.

A long time ago I tried to design a quiz for a blog I had, but the site just doesn't give many options. You can't filter out soccer questions, for example. I think if you could choose the categories that were in the mixed bag, it would be better.

I just thought of something. My memory is a little slow sometimes.

If I recall, you can set what kind of quiz it will give you for each day of the week. For example, on Fridays you could have geography, on Saturdays you could have science, on Sundays you could have the mixed bag, and on and on.

So we could have quizzes without questions about religion or sports. Only thing is, for a certain day you'd get nothing but geography questions or whatever.

And I would be okay with that. There are ten categories and only seven days per week, obviously. Since this site supports polls we could ask what categories people would like to see dropped from the quiz and exclude the top vote getters from the weekly rotation.

As long as nobody had played yet today I put up a different category for each day as debaser suggested.  They are all listed on the trivia site toward the bottom - left hand side.  I started out easy to see how you like the questions and you can let me know if the questions are to easy.

Happy Friday

This quiz is biased against me. There are three categories in which I'll suffer dearly:

Celebrities -- I don't know anything about that stuff.
Movies -- I have really stuck up taste in movies, and these will be pretty mainstream.
Music -- Same as movies but even worse.

Basically I will be skewered on any pop culture topic, but it's my fault for being a hipster doofus and a nerd.

Well anybody can speed read. You just have to learn how. It's pretty easy...I learned in elementary school but I'm sure there are online "guides". A couple of techniques is all there is to it.
