I've most definitely had that "floaty" feeling!  It's so unsettling and unnerving.  Yep!

I used to liken it to feeling like I'm dreaming, but I'm wide awake.  Nothing seems or feels quite real.

You're not alone.

Hi Neurogurl and everyone else in this thread. I realize this thread was started years ago, though I'm wondering if anyone ever found a solution or cause beyond anxiety. I don't suffer from anxiety though I share the same floating feeling that is only made better when laying down.

Caff, welcome to HW!

I think what we've come to realize is there is no 'cure' per se for this, but rather, it happens to be one of those s/e's of anxiety that many of us experience.

I invite you to start your own thread of introduction and share something about yourself and your unique situation. Then more people will get a chance to read your post and meet you! You'll receive a warm welcome, honest! :)

Hi Merrida!

Thank you for the prompt post. I was looking to start my own though I'm unsure what to place it under given I'm still not diagnosed. Any suggestions?

Hello and welcome to HealingWell.  Glad you've found our online community. It’s a great place to connect with others traveling the same road...you'll find much support, encouragement and advice from others who understand.

We do invite you to   introduce yourself in a thread of your own. This is done by clicking on the 'new topic' button which will open a new thread for you to post your introduction. This will help members see your first post. It is best to start your own 1st thread rather than attach it to an old thread that way you will get more responses.

Once you get up and running within the forum it is always good and rewarding to respond to other post's and reach out to other members to offer support and advise when you can. It is always good to know you are not alone and speak with others who have heart issues.

I am going to lock this topic/thread as it is 3 years old.  If you want to make your own thread about the same topic feel free to do so.

Kindly,

Kitt
