Hi.... Does anyone get more anxiety or panic attacks during allergy season? This is one thing I have noticed with myself mid July comes around and I find myself hoping for mid October. During this time I find myself focusing on everything happening to me my loss of appetite my nausea from the drainage down back of throat my fatigue and then I get a bout of reflux from the drainage and constant worry from obsessing on these symptoms last things my throat is always sore and I have mild tinnitus normally but when my allergies go crazy my tinnitus does as well. Anyone else have issues during allergy season?

Hi and welcome!

I am sorry to hear of your allergy issues, and the trigger it has become for anxiety/panic. :/

It is not unusual for anxiety sufferers to be challenged by an illness...and while allergies are not the same as being sick...many of the symptoms feel the same as a virus!

...so it's not surprising to me that allergy season has become a challenge!

While you are treating the allergies...you can also practice self help for the anxiety it induces.

Check out our Resources at the top of the main forum page here for great material to work with. Practicing the suggested exercises daily will make a big difference in how you feel.☺

Peace and progress to you...and post with us anytime for sharing and support!

I find anything that upsets my perceived balance as a trigger. Allergies definitely included. During allergy season I am taking Claritin daily and constantly reassuring myself by saying "its just allergies"

I think that's my issue.

Since July I noticed I had slight dizziness followed by nausea and loss of appetite. My ears felt plugged up especially my left ear.

The stomach pain and nausea isn't as severe but my head is still blocked up.

And antihistamine gives me anxiety and causes me to sweat a lot.
