Hey everyone,
Just wondering if any ladies out there have noticed that their cycle was disturbed and thought it could be anxiety/stress related??? I am two weeks late, and have had cramps the entire time. I've taken multiple urine pregnancy tests and even a blood test and all negative. So I'm thinking it might be anxiety or possibly even a cyst. I was on vacation during the time I was supposed to ovulate and so I did a lot of traveling (and I had a lot of anxiety that week), and maybe that could be it as well? Also should note I just started lexapro three weeks ago if that might make a difference as well.

M.A.,

Stress can cause a delay in one's cycle. If the body is under physical and/or psychological stress...then the reproductive system takes a backseat to other more crucial functions.

Your travel and disruption in sleep and routine could have just added to the issue.

Still, if you've still not started in a week, I would consider going to your OBGYN again for another blood test.

Try doing some consistent coping skills the next few days to decompress. smile

Peace and progress,

S.C.

stress usually makes mine late about two to three days. One time though I was very stressed and got two periods in one month it had been two weeks late and then I got my next one on schedule. So yes this has happened to me.
