Its been almost a month since I had a nervous break down that left me a bit shattered. I've since switched back to my brand name Lexapro from generic and it has been roughly three weeks now. It has just been a roller coaster of things everyday. Unfortunately today has just been extremely exhausting as I have been having a lot of bad intrusive thoughts coming through my mind that I would never do. Because of this, its flaring up my anxiety to its fullest. I've tried taking some xanax at .25 but thats barely helping much. Doctor wants me to go up to 15mg (Currently at 10mg) But I have less than 2 weeks before I make this major move and I think it might be best if I can get my feet on the ground first before I do anything like that. Whats your thoughts?

AK,

I would try using these worksheets...particularly the STOPP exercise...to see if this helps with the intrusive thoughts.

Sorry, I know how how difficult this is. :/

Peace and progress friend!

Hi, alohaknown,

I'm sorry to hear you are having so much trouble. You are in a transition period and any help you can get is good. I second the advice earlier. Try using those help resources for intrusive thoughts. There really is a lot there that can help you (and me - I've never tried using them, but see that they could be a great help to me with my negative thinking).

I wish you the best until you feel better.
