Long time no see, friends. Maybe that's good, yeah?

I'm just going through the ringer at the moment in regard to what I hope is a minor setback. I recall feeling anxious yesterday. In addition, I dropped my phone on the floor at work and picked it up while I was seated as I bent forward. Then I felt the heartburn come on and it's still present. I realize heartburn and indigestion are different and that anxiety can trigger indigestion. I've taken a Xanax and Flexeril to try and chill out.

I'm at work trying to forget about it. I figure I'm in the best place. Sadly, I fear I won't be able to get through my networking meeting tonight, but I have to go. However, maybe work and the meeting are the best places I could be today. I don't know.

I suppose this is a test. I'm doing what I can to better myself lately and always struggle when setbacks confront me. This is just another example. Considering my GI history, I'm really hoping I haven't done any damage to my GI tract, etc.

Sometimes it's just nice to vent. Thanks for listening.

Smooth,

Welcome back my friend! It is GOOD to have you here.

I am sorry that you are having a setback atm....especially since you've been working so hard on your forward progress/ positivity/outlook lately. To say you are 'doing what you can' is an understatement...you have been swinging for the fence my friend!!

As far as your worries...I am a little curious why an episode of heartburn would be so concerning. Many people have this issue...some chronically.

I am sure this is something that will pass. Try to stay in the moment and not project worse case scenarios into the future.

We are sending you encouragement, just as you have done for many of us here.😊

S.C.,

Thank you. I appreciate it. Maybe I should come on more to help others since I'm doing a little better in a sense these days.

I'm swinging hard and trying to keep up the effort. Negativity is effortless while being positive takes a lot of work.

Well, I'm concerned based on my history. My surgery in 2013 wouldn't completely prevent heartburn, but should help with it. I ate some applesauce and a yogurt yesterday and two hours later I bent over. That was that. I'd like to think it's not so sensitive and I get a little worrisome since it's such a monumental negative part of my history. One more pant size and I'm going to the big and all store! I'm not tall! lol.

I'll try not to. It's just that it's lingered for about 21 hours now. I'm doing slightly better, but not a lot.

And thank you as always for your encouragement and I look forward to your reply. smile

Ya know...yogurt can do me in too!

I love it, and eat it everyday, b/c it is so good for the lower digestive tract...*cough cough* (sorry, TMI)

...but it can reflux on me sometimes...pretty bad, which is surprising to me. 🤔

Stick to the blandest of bland foods today, and this will resolve!☺

Scaredy,

That I haven't done. I brought yogurt with me since that was all I have. I was hoping brown rice was bland, but apparently that will upset my stomach, too. I feel lit up around my diaphragm right now.

Nah, you're free from the TMI tag with me. You're safe. haha

I might be able to get my hands on some pretzels or crackers, but don't have much at work with me. I'm pretty exhausted from the medication and life in general, but have that meeting tonight that I don't think I can miss. Sigh. lol
