Hi all!!! I am doing pretty well these days with the exception of a few bad days here and there. Currently with selling our house, building our dream house and having to live with my in-laws for about 8 weeks. I guess it's expected to be overwhelmed tongue Here is my dilemma.... since I have been on Zoloft for years and years, the side effects are really just getting worse and worse ( no sex drive, dry mouth, constipation, not much motivation, and on and on). My Pdoc mentioned trying Effexor xr, I am scared of that since I have read horror stories of side effects and it's hard to come off. I have also thought what if I try not being on anything at all.... Advice would be great. Thanks

Hi Mel,

What if you waited until this transition with your house is all said and done? I am wondering if a lot of the things you are experiencing are simply situational?

All that you are going through...though exciting...can be exhausting, mentally and physically!

Maybe using your coping skills for now, and putting off any changes until after you are settled (and assessing how you are feeling then) might be a good plan?

I am excited for you and your new house! Keep us updated and hang in there!

SC-

I think that does sound like a good idea. I forgot to mention I am being referred to a Rheumatologist also. I have hashimoto thyroid but they are going to rule out other auto immune as well. I may ask my Pdoc to recommend some other natural things I can do as well and maybe even ask to start decreasing Zoloft and see if it help decrease the side effects I'm having so much trouble with....

Thank you for response
