Is anyone on this med?  My fiance just went on it, and his psychiatrist talks about it like it is the best thing in the world.  He said he has had about a 90% success rate with it.  He said it cures everything from OCD to anxiety to depression etc.  Anyone have any comments?

one would hope a psych would have enough sense to not fall for a drug companys hype, its just another antidepressant med, new and so usually expensive

any antidepressant med can help a lot for anxiety if it works for you

Hello, I was on cymbalta for approx. 6 weeks, and the doc changed my meds on me because my insurance wouldnt cover it. I was put on it for fibromyalgia tho. To my suprise, I believe it was beginning to help me when I was taken off it. darn the luck!! But it was helping me with my sleep, and I was actually dreaming again, which means I was getting much needed rem sleep. Depression seemed to be letting up. Cymbalta is also supposed to help alleviate pain, but I wasn't getting that part from it. I liked it, I thought it was helping me.........not sure about the anxiety treatment. Hope I helped some yeah

Thanks!

aquarius, is your fiance still taking cymbalta?  I just started back on it, for anxiety mainly. I don't have any pain issues.  I like it okay, but it sure is expensive!
