NATURAL REMEDIES FOR ANXIETY??? HELP.....

I WOULD APPRECIATE HEARING FROM ANYONE WHO HAS HAD SUCCESS FROM NON PREscriptION REMEDIES FOR ANXIETY.  I AM CURRENTLY TAKING ATIVAN, BUT AM LOOKING FOR SOME LONG TERM ALTERNATIVES AND DIETARY CHANGES THAT MAY HELP.  I DO NOT SMOKE, DRINK ALCOHOL OR CONSUME ANY CAFFEINE.  I ALSO DRINK AT LEAST 8 GLASSES OF WATER A DAY.  ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.  I HAVE SUFFERED WITH ANXIETY/PANIC ATTACKS OFF AND ON FOR ALMOST 30 YEARS (STARTED WHEN I WAS 10 mad   ) AND HAVE HAD EVERY SYMPTOM IMAGINABLE.  PLEASE RESPOND............

Welcome there are some here that go the natural route and will post I am sure........weekends are slower so have patience please.......
I do relaxation,meditation and CBT ' But I still do take the occasionally ativan when needed ..........Glad you found us .....I have a hot milk Nightly as when it is heated it activates the ingerdient which calms you and helps you sleep relaxed( cinnamon or a wee bit of Hot Choc )can go on top for taste
Would you please do me a big favor and take off the caps as it is taken as Yelling lol and I know you are not but I would appreciate it

Welcome...If you look around previous posts there are im sure a whole bunch of posts about people who have used natural methods.

yea i use chamomile tea, even tried a teaspoon of vinegar before both seemed to help, but the chamomile is really good and will help a belly ache too.

I got some efalex, though haven't tried it out yet.

It's a special fish oil that works on your brain. There's normal fish oil and this one that has higher quanties of the oil needed to make the brain function properly.

It's used a lot in the treatment for ADHD.

Fish oil and 3000mg of vitamin C totally eliminated all symptoms of the anxiety that I had (mostly in the mornings).
CR Blood results http://www.matthewlake.plus.com/results.htm
Blood Pressure = 90/60
Total Cholesterol = 109mg (2.8)
HDL cholesterol = 39mg/dl
LDL cholesterol = 58mg/dl
Triglycerides = 53mg/dl
Glucose 84mg/dl

How much fish oil and what times of day do you take it and the vitc?/ How long did it take until you noticed a difference?

Has anyone tried taking a B complex vitamin tablet? it might help as the B vits can help to support the nervous system.
