Hi everyone

I suffer from severe anxiety, panic attacks, Hypochondria and Tourettes (among other things) and from time to time, I'll just be sitting or laying there and get this sudden feeling/sensation like my head and/or body is moving/shifting a little bit to the left, right, up or down. Shortly afterwards, I'll have a panic attack because, well, it's pretty frightening.

Has anyone else here ever experienced anything like this before and is it fairly normal for anxiety?. I also get bouts of vertigo about once or twice a year (my mother has this too) but this does'nt really feel like vertigo all that much. It's more like a "movement hallucination" or just the sensation that your head or body is falling, shifting, moving, etc. Really scary!.

I think with a/p we all have extra sensitive body awareness. In other words this could happen to someone w/o a/p and they simply wouldn't register it, or would shrug it off as "one those weird things that the human body does sometimes" Wouldn't that be nice to be able to do?!? I too register and freak out about every weird sensation in my body, but w\ c.b.t. I am learning to talk myself down from these frightening thoughts and trust that everything is okay. The more we let these thoughts run rampant the more power they gain...yikes! Take care and have a peaceful day.
