what a day at work. I'm a nurse and I have assistants that work with me. Well one of them acted like a lunatic this evening and started yelling at me for no reason about something work related talked to me like a dog and stomped down the hall. I didn't have anything to do with what she flipped out about. I got so mad I could actually feel my blood boiling. My heart started pounding so hard I thought it was coming out of my chest. I don't know what it is but ever since I stopped my lexapro last week I get out of control angry at things and I'm not that kind of person. I guess it may be withdrawal effects or it could be that my co worker really is an idiot...lol

Yikes sorry about that! I don't know anything about withdrawl symptoms, but confrontations can make me crazy with all sorts of unpleasant physical symptoms too! Is your anxiety level up since quitting meds? That alone could be causing anger/irratiblity issues. I sincerely hope that you have a better day tomorrow and your assistant chills out!

p.s. Your anger in this situation doesn't soun unjustified

Sorry that you had such a bad day.  The anger you felt may be a withdrawl, or it may be a normal reaction.  I have day's when my anxiety is so high that I'm scared I might growl at people for just walking in front of me.  I just breathe and remember I'm lucky to be in a situation (ie out of the house) that someone can walk into me.  I'd steer clear of this person for a few day's...take the high road :-) Ignore 'em!!!!

I was a nurse as well and many of them act as that one did in my opinion anyways
I think it just might bea bit of both
so sorry you had to deal with that very angry and unhappy person
You did great by keeping your head and wits about you
Kudos

Sorry you had to deal that sort of behavior from someone else. I've never been on lexepro so I don't know what the withdraw effects are but if someone treated me like that I would have probably been pretty upset and angry too.

hugs,

*hugs* people are sometimes mean, and I don't know if you're more emotional from stopping the Lexepro, but I get that way in confrontation too. I just don't know how to act and my whole body just boils with rage, I usually have to turn and walk away from the situation.

Sorry you didn't have a good day. :(

thanks everyone. today was better. the girl worked today as well but she just gave me dirty looks all day. i think it made her mad that i actually tried to be extremely nice to her "kill em with kindness" tongue she did actually speak to me one time and thanked me for helping her with some of her work. so i'm sure it will blow over. but i will tell you she was messing with a triple threat yesterday. I'm emotional from quiting lexapro, had pms and was arguing with my husband that day so really she's lucky i wasn't worse....lol
