Seems like the nights are the worst for my anxiety. It's just starting to get dark and all the sudden I'm getting the feeling of impending doom and I feel scared. Yuck!!!!!

Oh Georgia,

That happens to me too! I can totally relate to that! As soon as it starts to get dark, I start feeling anxious. I have anxiety in the day too, but this is so different. Especially if I'm not busy, it's a lot worse if I'm alone or not preoccupied with something. ((((((((Hugs))))))))))),

Georgia,

I've almost never had an anxiety attack before it's dark.  They always happen in the evening or at night for me.  It really stinks b/c that's the time we're supposed to be relaxing.  sad

Thanks guys, I don't know what it is about nights that sometimes gets my anxiety going. My mom said that when I was little I was TERRIFIED of the dark and always had to sleep with a light on. Then I just thought isn't that every kid?

hugs,

Hi Geargia,

I'm the same, anxiety always hits worse in the late afternoons/ evenings. Even today it started out ok though I didn't get enough sleep but by lunch time thick clouds are overhead, the suns gone and it's more like later in the day and I'm already working myself up.

I just went and hired a comedy so I'm going to go put it on and hopefully keep my mind busy before I go for my walk and some gardening.

I have had to sleep with a light on since the start of my a/p. I used to be afraid to go to sleep, but that fear has gone since I have been much better lately. But I gotta tell ya I still love my nightlight! I hope that this gets easier for you.

I have always been afraid of the dark, I still am. I do get more anxious if it is dark. I get more worried with what I cant see and I am usually alone so that makes it worse. If you find relief let me know would ya hehe. Good luck
