Does anyone else get it where they worry about the symptoms they get with thoughts such as 'what if no one else gets what I get?!' or 'how can these be brought on by anxety when they feel so real?! I must have something else wrong with me!'. These thoughts are driving me mad because I cant stop thinking the symptoms are brought on by something more serious meaning that im panicing that something bad is going to happen like blacking out, being sick or having a heart attack. Can anyone help with this lol?

I came across this today. It blew my mind away. It's a loong read but it's so worth it.

I think we have all thought that way at one time. Our feelings don't equal truth, and the more we think on the what if's the worse the anxiety becomes. Really in truely looking over symptoms that panic and anxiety cause, are the very same symptoms major diseases cause, thus why the feeling of dying always accompanies a panic attack. If you want to put your mind at ease, go get a check up,but I'm sure it's all in your head(not saying that sarcastically)

ETA-my link didn't work, just copy paste it to your browser. Hre's some tidbits tho;

"Panic attacks aren't about 'real' fear, they are about the sensation of fear"

"Anxiety & panic attacks aren't a
bout mental illness, they are about habit. Break that habit and the anxiety & panic attacks disappear!"
"Panic attacks might feel threatening but they are not. No one has EVER been harmed by anxiety!"

"Being anxiety & panic attacks free is already programmed into you, we just have to flick the switch"

"Panic attacks & anxiety are inappropriate reactions to normal situations. How can that be a mental illness?

Panic attacks and anxiety are about habit and instinct!"

"Panic attacks can't harm you, they feel terrible but 'feelings' never harmed anyone!"
"Panic attacks and anxiety are less obvious when your mind is busy... there's a scientific reason for that!"
"Stop fearing fear and panic attacks will fade away!"
"Panic Attacks have never caused anyone to be harmed - NEVER!"

yeah  Oh Yeah!!!!! I have been there a lot.

My anxiety triggers seem to be health related also. Pain in my chest, nasty headache, pain in my arm or back....the list goes on...instant panic. I have had all kinds of test from blood test to EKG's, ultrasound of my heart, stress test with dye, holter moniter, chest X-rays you name it I think I have had it and all have been normal. BUT during an attack I get a case of the "What If's". What if this time it really is a heart attack. What if they missed something. Can I really trust them. The symptoms are very real and very scary and I think this time it is different so I run to the hospital and after more test they reassure me that all is well and send me home. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

By all means get yourself checked out. Talk to your doctor. If they decide you are having anxiety/panic attacks remember there are ways to manage it and people to talk to. There are a lot of great people here at HW that will listen and offer what they can and believe me it helps.

I know how you feel I have to fight myself everyday. On one hand I'm just absolutely determined there is something medically (physically) wrong becasue there is no way normal people feel like this. I'am trying really hard to convince myself it is my anxiety rearing it's ugly head. Believe me it takes a lot of convincing. I'm sure normal people don't analyze every pain and heartbeat, numbness, tingling, dizziness etc. Notice how I keep saying normal people because this disease really makes you feel far from normal. I hope and pray we can all get through this and have good days ahead.

I feel exactly the same and I actually have sinus tachycardia. So I have chronic 24/7 anxiety and a condition that promotes it. Nice, huh? I am seeking help now because this is out of control. I cannot live my life being stressed 24/7 and miserable.
